Overview:

The Consulting Physician Coordinator, RN will be responsible for the management of the patient experience internal to Western Regional Medical Center in the context of encounters with consulting physicians. Internal experiences include but are not limited to the initial meeting between the consulting physician upon patient arrival, assistance with treatment planning, meeting with the patient at follow-up visits, and/or any admissions, providing a connection between the consulting physician and care management, helping the patient to understand the course of their treatment and monitoring and addressing any symptoms that might arise while they are at our facility. The Care Coordinator will also serve as a funnel to ensure the patient receives all services requested by the patient and provided by the consulting physician and will ensure that all results are received by the ordering physician and medical oncologist.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Current Arizona RN license from an accredited college
  • 3 years clinical oncology experience
  • 1 year experience in clinical program coordination or case management preferred
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • OCN certification preferred
