Cancer Treatment Centers of America (CTCA) at Western Regional Medical Center in Phoenix is seeking an experienced Nocturnist who has training and experience with multiple cancer types. CTCA is a single-specialty, tertiary hospital system providing a comprehensive, fully integrative approach to cancer care.

The Nocturnist will provide care to complex, adult cancer inpatients, managing the evening inpatient floor on a 7-nights-on, 7-nights-off schedule. The typical volume is 10-15 patients. Responsibilities include evaluating and treating incoming patients after-hours and determining need for admission, admitting incoming patients after need for admission has been determined, providing cross-cover care for already admitted patients, and facilitating discussions with patients and family regarding goals of care. The nocturnist will perform intubation and central line placement procedures and will be solely responsible for running codes. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with high-level, acute care patients and have success and experience working alongside a multidisciplinary team.

Candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • MD, DO, or foreign degree equivalent
  • Board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine
  • Eligibility for Arizona medical licensure
