Job Description:

JOB SUMMARY

Directs the Imaging and Radiation Oncology teams’ effort in providing services to CTCA patients at both CCRC Phoenix and Outpatient Care Centers. Plans, directs and coordinates activities as well as staff to attain the highest quality and safety standards of Imaging and Radiation Oncology services across multiple departments, while maintaining effective financial controls. Works collaboratively, alongside the Outpatient Care Centers Director to ensure a solid partnership exists between clinical, business, and administrative day-to-day operations. The Director will have matrixed oversight of all CCRC Phoenix Imaging and Radiation Oncology teams as well as the Outpatient Care Centers North Phoenix Imaging and Radiation Oncology teams.

Responsible for administrative oversight of the Imaging, Interventional Radiology and Radiation Oncology departments, which include accountability for long term planning and management of daily operations for Stakeholder in MRI, CT, SPECT, PET, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, 3D Mammography, Ultrasound, Diagnostic Imaging and Radiation Therapy.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops short and long-term smart goals and objectives for the department(s), which integrate with hospital goals.  
  • Direct/maintains records and compiles data to document, ensuring compliance with hospital policies/procedures in addition to regulatory agencies.
  • Executes departmental goals such that they support the organizational mission and strategic plan.  Effectively empowers stakeholders to go beyond the boundaries of their job description, encouraging them to deliver the Mother Standard and attain results that exceed expectations within either their department or the hospital setting
  • Develops, secures approval for, administers, and monitors the department’s budgets and capital equipment.  Plans for, develops and effectively manages departmental budget such that resources are deployed effectively and efficiently.
  • Serves as an effective coach in recognizing and supporting individual team member strengths and talents.  Manages performance of staff through continuing education, effective delegation, ongoing coaching and counseling. Promotes inter and intra departmental collaboration, nurtures relationships with others and is viewed positively by co-workers.  Responds appropriately to negativity, seeking to promote understanding and mutual achievement of goals.
  • Manages departmental budget including capital and operating expenses.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED

Experience: 10 years of Hospital Experience with 5 year of progressive supervisory experience

Education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent number of years of related experience.

Special Skills: Microsoft Office and excellent organizational skills.

PREFERRED

Experience: 10 years of progressive supervisory experience

Education: Graduate of an AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program or A.R.R.T. registered in Radiation Therapy

Licensure: Licensed by the Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (state of Arizona) - current and in good standing
