A healthcare informatics company, Vidence provides the world’s leading cancer researchers, innovators and treatment providers with the ability to contribute to and access the most comprehensive knowledge base of patient journeys and outcomes. Vidence Consortium Fellows are leading healthcare systems, independent hospitals, and cancer clinics that leverage the clinical and research tools of the Vidence technology platform, Scimon. Scimon includes information and insights on more than 100,0000 patients from electronic health records (EHR), genomic testing results, patient surveys, claims and other key data points. Utilizing advanced technology including natural language processing (NLP), machine learning (ML), artificial intelligence (AI) and a comprehensive suite of professional services, Vidence provides data visualization, insights, and data analytics to Consortium Fellows and others in the medical community to support quality improvement, precision medicine and clinical advancement.

Position Overview

This position is responsible for developing new business and revenue opportunities with life science companies using data assets within CTCA Health. This also includes the management and nurturing of current relationships to ensure repeat clients and revenue. This position will identify new opportunities within existing life science clients as well as prospect new clients. The position is expected to identify key stakeholders within life science organizations to identify HEOR needs, marketing needs, commercial needs and medical needs that CTCA Health’s data can fill. The position will work collaboratively with the team to develop proposals, budgets, timelines and deliverables for life science clients. This role will also serve as the point person to manage the contracting process (from CDA to MSA to SOW to signature).

Job Responsibilities

1. Creates a new revenue pipeline from life science companies utilizing data assets.

  • Works with HEOR life science teams to ascertain needs and goals
  • Works with Marketing life science teams to ascertain needs and goals
  • Works with Commercial life science teams to ascertain needs and goals
  • Works with Medical life science teams to ascertain needs and goals
  • Works with internal team to craft proposals
  • Closes the deal

2. Maintain and nurture current life science relationships.

  • Works with current clients to ensure ALL needs and goals are met
  • Works with current clients to ascertain what NEWCO could do better
  • Works with current clients to expand book of business

3. Work collaboratively with CTCA Health / CTCA Data & Analytics VP of Consortium Development to ensure alignment and a team-based approach to selling.

4. Day to Day meetings, communications, and internal team interactions.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications or related field, Master’s Degree preferred
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Extensive experience working with life science companies and proven track record in closing business
  • 10+ years Oncology Life Science experience
  • 5+ years previous management experience
  • 3+ years of selling data services experience

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Team oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent ability to communicate and facilitate discussions revolving around NEWCOs data assets and capabilities and future business development strategies.
  • Demonstrates deep oncology knowledge
  • Excellent organizational skills and efficient in prioritizing multiple projects
  • Demonstrates the ability to work in a collaborative, effective manner
  • Demonstrates the ability to utilize critical thinking and apply sound business judgment and assessment skills for decision making
  • Demonstrates the willingness and ability to research, learn, and obtain knowledge for the performance of the position
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
